Battle of battle 2042 has been a great disappointment in the eyes of many lifelong fans. When the game was launched at the end of 2021, it was full of errors, missing functions and a series of questionable development decisions. Since then, the developer says he has been trying to improve the game through a series of post-launch updates, but that has not prevented many players from leaving the game. Now, a new report has suggested that, in order to open a path for the game in the future, Electronic Arts could consider a completely new model.
According to Tom Henderson, who has had several first associated with battle 2042 in the past, EA is currently considering a free model of the game in the future. Henderson said in a tweet this afternoon that is said that those of EA are very disappointed with the way in which battle 2042 has acted so far. As such, they are now looking for all options with regard to the future of the game. Apparently, one of those options consisted of doing battle 2042 free, at least in some way.
In general, this would not be a shocking movement to see at this time. As previously mentioned, Battle of Battle 2042 has been bleeding its base of players in the weeks and months since it was launched for the first time. And although it is possible that many of those players do not return until the game is in a better state, EA could definitely get an influx of new players if I had to do 2042 free. The biggest question with this situation involves the way in which Batal’s 2042 would become a free game, but Henderson himself has pointed out that he could have more to share about the matter in the near future. We will make sure to keep you informed here at comicbook.com if we learn more about this situation.
Can you see battle 2042 become free-to-play in the future? And do you think this movement would end up helping the long-term game? Let me know your own thoughts on the matter, either in the comments or send me a message on Twitter a @ mooreman12.
